Get Help Dealing With Ethical and Regulatory Issues

It is becoming increasingly difficult for small practice owners to go it alone for a number of reasons including dealing with ethical and regulatory issues. Sometimes doing what is best for a patient is driven by outside influences that are dictated by the rules and regulations associated with third party payment systems such as Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers. As a physical therapist who is committed to delivering care based on best practices, it is important to be aware of various options and have strategies developed that allow you to handle these issues.

Facing a myriad of compliance issues on your own is not only daunting but time-consuming and is one of the reasons joining a network of like-minded practice owners is a good idea.  Alliance Physical Therapy Partners is a network of private practice owners who are receiving the professional support and resources they need to grow their businesses and successfully compete. As part of our services, we help you to get the support you need to ensure your practice is maintaining compliance with the numerous federal and states laws.

Another advantage to joining the Alliance network is to give you the opportunity to knowledge share with successful practice owners from around the country regarding best practices and operational procedures. No longer will you be trying to create solutions that are already available through the Alliance network. Also, many practice owners attend conferences together, creating a perfect opportunity to bond with one another and share experiences. A network can make all the difference in the world and Alliance Physical Therapy Partners is committed to helping you build the physical therapy practice you have dreamed of.

Alliance Physical Therapy Partners was built on the idea that when practices have the capital, support and talent they need to grow - the sky is the limit for success.  By offering unlimited tools and resources, we allow you to focus on patient care while experts help you manage your marketing, billing, human resources and software.  Join our network and start building an Alliance today!

Need Capital to Expand Your PT Practice?

Have you been struggling to grow your business but lack the capital and resources to do so?  Do you find yourself working twice as hard just trying to compete with large hospital groups who have expanded their services to include physical therapy?  Is the unpredictability of the health insurance landscape starting to impact your business?  Or are referrals slowing down and you’re spending more time trying to build up the practice and less time caring for your patients? If any of these things ring true, it is time to contact the experts at Alliance Physical Therapy Partners.

Our company has joined together a network of successful physical therapy practices.  We provide a range of support services including strategic and financial management so practice owners can focus on caring for their patients and employees. The Alliance team has an extensive background in healthcare, and our experience has taught us that when practice owners band together they are stronger than when they try to go it alone.

Once you join the network, one of the first things we do is to help you put together a business plan that includes providing you with the capital and support you need to execute it.  Furthermore, as a network member, you will still lead the practice and your employees but now have the financial security of a paycheck.  You will also get a quarterly profit distribution that grows as our network grows so every member benefits from the success of the entire group.

In addition, we can help you get support for administrative tasks such as billing, payroll, employees’ benefits, compliance issues, and much more.  Our team will also help you with strategic planning and direct marketing solutions that are designed to increase your referrals and allows you to effectively compete and expand your practice.  Please visit our website for contact information to speak to one of our advisers.

The Value of Using Professional Employer Organization (PEO) Services

Alliance Physical Therapy Partners is building a network of successful physical therapy practice owners and is providing them with the capital and support they need to strengthen and grow their business.  Once you join our network, we will help you to develop effective strategies to better compete with larger PT providers as well as ways to improve services to your patients.

One of the benefits of joining forces with Alliance is our relationship with Oasis PEO.  As one of the largest Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) in the nation, they provide a range of services PT owners need to help ease the burden of ever-increasing administrative tasks.  Examples of Oasis’ services are managing workforce cost and complex human resource issues, payroll, employee benefits and risk management.

As a member of Alliance’s network, we help to set up a Management Service Agreement (MSA) with the PEO. The following is a brief explanation of how it typically works.
·         You provide services to a patient who in turn pays you.
·         The practice then sends the money to the PEO in which they take care of paying the clinical employees and other services set up by the MSA.
·         The PEO also pays Alliance for their services, which in turn pays non-clinical personnel (including you) who are employees of Alliance.

Some of the benefits of using a PEO include: a master policy with thousands of employees that offer cost-saving advantages; professional onboarding, enhanced benefits, and services and support for employees.  It also provides customized Alliance HR and compliance support as well as an electronic employee portal.  Please contact an Alliance Physical Therapy Partners’ adviser to learn how we can help you.

Outpatient PT is the Engine That Drives Rehabilitation

Today, physical therapy is a $29 billion industry and has a projected annual growth rate of five percent or higher over the next several years. As the Baby Boomer generation ages and is staying more active than their parents, physical therapy services are in high demand.  Also, more young adults are engaged in physical activities resulting in injuries that may require PT services.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the physical therapy profession is not only growing but is among the job leaders with physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and physical therapy aides in their list as the top 10 strong growers over the next eight years.  Luckily, the numbers of PTs are also expected to grow from 192,000 licensed PTs in 2014 to somewhere between 203,000 and 234,000 by 2020.

The profession provides services to people of all ages and is used to treat a large range of medical problems. Some of the most common reasons people get physical therapy are for neck or back pain, shoulder and rotator-cuff injuries, and other types of sprains and strains.  Injuries treated by physical therapy can be a result of a car accident, sport’s injury, or a repetitive-stress injury often associated with work-related tasks.

The effectiveness of physical therapy has been proven in a study published in March of 2013 by the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). They report that for some injuries, “physical therapy is just as effective as surgery in patients with meniscal tears and arthritis of the knee.” Furthermore, the study found there was no “significant differences in functional improvement after 6 months between patients who underwent surgery with postoperative physical therapy and those who received standardized physical therapy alone.”

While the growth of the PT industry is evident in the upcoming years, the success of individual private practice owners is unknown due to a highly competitive marketplace. Practice owners who recognize the importance of branding their business, delivering outstanding patient experiences, and expanding their services will thrive in this growing industry.
